On April 16th, the Digital Silk Road Development Forum of the World Internet Conference, themed "Connectivity and Common Prosperity," was held in Xi'an. This marks the first time that the World Internet Conference International Organization has organized a thematic forum event centered on the "Digital Silk Road." The event invited over a hundred industry experts, scholars, and relevant practitioners from both domestic and international backgrounds to discuss the development of the Digital Silk Road. This episode of CNR (China National Radio) invites Zhuang Rui, Executive Dean of the Institute of International Economics at the University of International Business and Economics, to jointly explore topics related to the construction of the Digital Silk Road.
Zhuang Rui: I believe that Shaanxi Province is uniquely positioned in terms of timing, geography, and human resources for developing the Belt and Road Initiative, playing a crucial hub role as the starting point of the Silk Road. From a future perspective, Shaanxi can make significant contributions in two areas. Firstly, in economic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, particularly in the digital transformation and digital empowerment of traditional industries. Shaanxi boasts a solid industrial foundation for integrating the digital economy with the real economy. Secondly, in education and cultural cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Shaanxi is endowed with exceptional advantages in cultural exchanges and cooperation, thanks to its rich historical heritage. With a profound cultural foundation, the integration of digital new energy into the historical and cultural city can rejuvenate the ancient capital and bring it new glory.
