On July 23, 2021, Professor Yusaku Nishimura from our institute was invited to participate in the International Conference on RCEP and China-Japan-Korea Local Economic and Trade Cooperation held by the China-Japan-Korea Research Institute of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, and made a speech at the China-Japan-Korea People-to-People Exchange Mechanism branch. Nearly 100 experts and scholars from China, Japan and South Korea participated in the forum's keynote speeches and branch discussions.
The title of Professor Nishimura's report is "Cultural Stage Economic Singing: A Successful Case of Kumamoto, Japan". He introduced the unique strategy of the Japanese prefectural government to promote local economy, and analyzed the economic effects of Kumamoto-related cultures such as Kumamon and One Piece on the Kumamoto. The speech was warmly responded by the participating experts and achieved good results.
